PS Doors (now PS Industries) has a lot of products. A lot of BIG products to be more specific. Their old site had the ability to sell some of their products online, but it was clunky, and tended to lose users before they finished their transactions. How do you solve a problem like that?
WordPress + WooCommerce, of course. It wasn’t all smooth sailing though, since their products are massive, we had to write some custom shipping scripts to get a correct estimation through their preferred shipping API.
They also had specific brands for specific product types, such as PS Safety Access, which has OSHA-focused products, PS Flood Barriers, which keeps the rising tides at bay, and PS Access Solutions, housing an extensive amount of different products. This meant that they needed to utilize a WordPress multisite to keep everything separate but also easy to manage.
